"The rapidly approaching end of the age is witnessing a tremendous increase in the activity of the powers of darkness. Unrest among the nations, more intense than at any previous time in earth's history, is due largely to the stirring up of the ambitions and passions of men...Believers, whether as intercessors, or as workers at home, or missionaries on the foreign fields, may in union with the great Head of the Body, exercise an authority to which the powers of the air must give place wherever challenged" - J.A. MacMillan
The Taking Authority teaching program is for the Christian who is growing in maturity in Christ Jesus. It is not recommended for new believers. Taking Authority is an absolute necessity for anyone embarking in missions, pastoral, and leadership duties whether it be in small groups or church office. As we will see, the ability to hold the “rod of Moses” and command Jehovah God is dependent on our right standing with the Lord, knowledge of the Word and depth of faith. However, it is the birthright and intended privilege for every born again Christian to wield the rod.
